A few really quick notes:
- Our markets have been going extremely well; in fact we're having a hard time keeping up with demand! We were previously selling at 3 different markets: Piedmont's Green Market, The Green Market at Studioplex, and F.A.R.M. on Tuesdays. Last week we had to make a tough decision to cut back on one of the markets, so we're no longer selling at Piedmont this season. We really enjoyed being there but it's not sustainable any longer to split our harvest into two markets on Saturdays. The market-goers at Studioplex have been fantastic and we really enjoy seeing so many of the same faces every weekend coming out to support the market!- The baby chicks (future laying hens) were moved onto the farm this week. I'll post some pictures soon, we have such a beautiful flock! Only 5 or so more months before we can start offering nutritious, bright-orange-yolked eggs ... let the countdown begin!
- I know that I've also been neglecting the recipe blog. I have tons of great recipes sitting on my desk in front of me just waiting to be typed up. Please feel free to continue sending me your favorite recipes that highlight seasonal produce as well. Sooner or later, they'll all be posted!
Once again, we really appreciate everyone's support. I'm continually impressed by all of you who come out to farmers' markets to stock up on produce. And your kind words keep us motivated to continuously do better.
Happy Eating!
Jessica
P.S. Joaquin and I just got home from an absolutely delicious farm-to-table dinner at the Graveyard Tavern in East Atlanta. It was the third such dinner that Graveyard Tavern has hosted and they plan to continue them on a monthly basis. Awesome local & seasonal menu with beer pairings for $35/person. I highly recommend checking it out next month!
